A gentle Yoga immersion program in English. This workshop will teach you to enhance your mental strength, increase willpower and reduce selfishness.
The workshop is based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda Saraswati (1887 – 1963), founder of the Divine Life Society (1936), Yoga-Vedanta Forest Academy (1948) and author of over 200 books on Yoga, Vedanta, Health and a variety of spiritual subjects.

As explained by Swami Sivananda, real yoga is the art of right living; we will learn plenty of techniques and hands-on practices to calm our mind and have lasting happiness. Understanding your mind will give you the capacity to apply practical techniques for calming your mind and achieving serenity and inner peace, the source of lasting happiness.

  • Class recordings will be provided for on-going self-practices.
  • Optional WhatsApp group among participants for on-going peer-support.

Each 90-min workshop will consist of:

  • Guided breathing practice to calm the mind
  • Lectures that explain the various mind processes and techniques that to enhance our endurance, increase willpower, and reduce selfishness.
  • Weekly homework to develop techniques for daily life situations.
  • Previous homework will be reviewed and discussed in each class

Study Materials

The workshop is based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda through his books, direct teachings from the Divine Life Society, and personal practices of the three instructors. While not required, but it will be helpful if the students are exposed to the original teachings of Swami Sivananda in his own words, especially in the following two books: (1) Mind – its mysteries and control” and (2) “How to cultivate virtues and eradicate vices”.

  • Marc Albertus – A Yoga Teacher with over 30-year experience of daily life yoga integration in both professional and private life. French translator of Swami Sivananda publications and others Divine Life Society publications. Living in France and Germany.
  • Annapurna – A well-loved Yoga Teacher, Ayurveda massage therapist and a  environmental scientist. Living and working in France, Haiti, and USA.
  • Prema – A passionate Yoga and Meditation Teacher and a sustainable transport engineer. Living and working in Cambodia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
